This is the first of two recordings I have for Ben Sidran, and in this earlier one the band is a more traditional and acoustic group. Ken James plays the first set and is joined by Tony Buchanan, also on tenor, for the second. I don’t recall what the reason was for this, perhaps other commitments that night. As usual, it takes a short time for the balance to settle, but I like the way it starts so have left everything in.
